Vancouver’s Beaucoup Bakery has just unveiled its new Mid-Autumn Festival Collection! This year they are featuring a new trio of mooncake flavours, as well as a show-stopping dessert creation celebrating durian, the “king of fruits”. The whole collection is available for pre-order online now for pick-up at its Fir Street location from September 15 to September 29, 2023. Beaucoup Bakery’s mooncakes are made with a buttery sablé crust. It’s a unique take on the traditional mooncake. The Beacoup Bakery Mooncakes come as a trio for $27.00 in a red Beaucoup Bakery box. Beaucoup Bakery never fails to impress with their pastries, so I will definitely be adding them to the ‘must-try’ list.
Beaucoup Bakery Mooncake Flavours
The flavours for the Beacoup Bakery Mooncakes are:
- Thai Milk Tea Mooncake – features a tea custard infused with the essence of Thai Milk Tea complemented by a luscious Dulcey caramelized white chocolate coating
- Red Bean Sesame Mooncake – features red bean custard enveloped in a layer of roasted white sesame marzipan
- Tiramisu Mooncake – features a mascarpone custard with coffee-infused chocolate
The flavours all sound so delicious, and I love that even the traditional flavours like red bean and sesame have a modern tist to them. The flavour I want to try the most is the Tiramisu. Mainly because I love coffee and the mascarpone custard sounds divine.
Beaucoup Bakery Mid-Autumn Festival Collection 2023 – ‘The King’ Cake
In addition to their Mooncake collection you can also order their special Mid-Autumn festival cake ‘The King‘. This delectable treat features the Durian.
This special decadent dessert features layers of coconut mousse, vanilla genoise, durian cremeux, coffee crumble, and a tantalizing vanilla glaze.
Beaucoup Bakery x Holt Renfrew – Exclusive Magenta Jade Collection
In addition to their instore trio of mooncakes, Beaucoup Bakery has an exclusive collection with Holt Renfrew. Until Sept 24, the Magenta Jade mooncake assortment will be available at Holt Renfrew Vancouver’s main floor gift department from 12pm daily.
Each Magenta Jade mooncake box comes with three different mooncakes:
- Bronzy Hazelnut Yuzu – Hazelnut praline custard with yuzu centre
- Golden Salted Egg Yolk Custard – Salted egg yolk custard with lotus paste centre
- Lychee Cheesecake – Creamy cheesecake custard with lychee centre
These mooncakes are exclusive to Holt Renfrew and will not be sold at Beaucoup Bakery locations. There are only limited quantities and it is first come first served.
