The holiday season is upon us and The Trump Champagne Lounge will be transporting you to a Winter Wonderland with their Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea that will be launching Monday, December 9th and will run until March 22nd.
Until December 31st, there will be special guest appearances by the Nutcracker soldiers to celebrate the holidays. This afternoon tea will be $65.00 per person, but for an extra special touch for just $118.00 per person you will receive a box of assorted macarons and a glass of sparkling to start.

Smoked Salmon on Pumpernickel Crisp with creme fraiche
Garden Radish Poppy Seed Tea Sandwich
Waldorf Salad – seasonal fruits, celery and roasted walnuts
Medley of Mushroom Quiche
Corn Cream Croquette – chili lime crema
My favourites from these selections was the quiche and the croquette. The Corn Cream Croquette was a mix of mashed potatoes with sweet corn and the combination was comforting and delicious. The mashed potato was smooth and creamy and went well with the bright pops of freshness from the corn. The mushroom quiche was jammed packed with mushrooms making this mini tart an umami bomb.

The stand out dessert for me was the White Valrhona Chocolate & Yuzu Mousse. Crafted to look just like the snowy white mountains this delicate dessert was expertly crafted. The yuzu mousse was light and fluffy and the white chocolate was perfectly tempered resulting in an extremely satisfying crack when breaking into this stunning dessert
Another favourite by default for me was the Mont Blanc Cream Puff. I adore chesnuts and this little dessert did not disappoint.
The Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea is definitely sweets heavy so if you have a big sweet tooth this will be the tea set for you!
