As I cautiously start to dine out more as quarantine restrictions are being lifted, I always appreciate a good patio. It just feels safer eating outside in the fresh air. The Parlour in Yaletown has a great patio that seats 3 tables to keep with social distancing. They also have a very open space (all the windows and doors are open). The staff all wear masks and I felt very safe dining in. The Parlour has always been a Happy Hour spot go to for me because of their great pizzas and drink specials. The Parlour has the best pizza in Yaletown which pairs great with their 50% off wine.
On Monday and Tuesday they have a great deal with all their wine being 50% off. On this occasion I chose the Tantalus Vineyards Riesling. It was the perfect light wine for summer patio dining.

I’m a huge fan of local BC wine, and I will almost always order local when I can. The Tantalus Vineyards Riesling 2019 ($45.00) is a personal favourite of mine. It is a very light and fruity wine and is such an easy drinking wine.
Share Plates and Buns
I’ve seen this stack of ribs all over Instagram, so I had to order it for myself. The Stacked Short Ribs ($18.00) features meaty short ribs with a Hoisin and tamarind sauce, sriracha, sesame seeds and a tangy apple and jicama slaw. The ribs had a great char flavour and were so tender. It’s a must order dish! And a 1/2 stack is only $10.00 during Happy Hour!
The Smash Cheddar & Bacon Burger ($14.00) features a thick organic grass fed chuck patty, caramelized onion, bacon cheddar and all the typical burger fixings. The patty was perfectly done with a slight pink in the middle. The burger was a juicy, multi napkin affair, as all burgers should be. It’s served with a side of chips, but can upgrade to a soup or salad for a small charge.
Outstanding Pizzas – The Big Prawn & I’m A Fungi
Now on to the main attraction (aside from the wine) – pizza! The Parlour has some of the best pizza in Vancouver, and hands down the best pizza in Yaletown. The crust on these are just perfect. It’s got the perfect amount of char on the bottom and a great chewiness. They don’t skimp on the toppings and every bit was full of ingredients.
The Big Prawn ($25.00) features prawn, pesto, sun dried tomato, pesto, tomato sauce, mozza, parmesan, and lemon. This is my favourite pizza. My friend and I could not stop eating this hefty pizza! Pair it with their 6-10 sauce and you’ve got a winning combination.
I’m a Fungi ($24.00) is a mushroom lovers dream. It features roasted mushrooms, mushroom Béchamel, prosciutto, mozza, gruyere & shroom dust. It is an umami bomb. The prosciutto plays the perfect supporting role as an underlayer of salt without overpowering the mushrooms.
Overall I had a fantastic experience at The Parlour. The food and service was top notch and I cannot wait to be back!
