Top 5 Aesthetic Coffee Shops You Need To Check Out in the Lower Mainland

One of my favourite things to do is to discover new and exciting coffee shops in the city. I am a huge coffee nut, and I love to just enjoy a leisurely afternoon in a relaxed space with a nice cup of iced coffee. There is no shortage of coffee shops in the Lower Mainland, but some are definitely more aesthetically pleasing than others. Check out my top 5 aesthetic coffee shops in the Lower Mainland below!

1. C Market Coffee HQ

C Market Coffee HQ is the largest cafe in Port Coquitlam. This 75 seat cafe with industrial inspired interiors has large windows and an incredibly high ceiling. It is a light and airy spot with plenty of space. This new spot will have meeting space available for rent as well as a training centre for the next generation of baristas, coffee brewers and roasters. Check out my full review here.

C Market Coffee HQ has a variety of espresso coffees, specialty drinks, and Korean inspired fare. In addition they have cakes and pastries made in house and from local vendors.

2. FDL Cafe

This is my favourite local coffee shop. It’s not a big cafe, but they have so many different options from coffee to gelato! The gelato at FDL cafe is really good. For Easter they have a mini eggs gelato which I highly recommend you try. In addition, they have such a large selection of baked goods and coffee. I love that they are doing a lot of vegan and gluten free options to cater to everyone. Their coffee is also one of the smoothest I have ever had. Their baristas are incredibly skilled – they even manage to do latte art on a London Fog! This is definitely a neighbourhood gem that you need to try.

4. Forecast Coffee

Forecast Coffee takes over the Starbucks Reserve location on Main St. They first started in Whistler and they are more than just a coffee shop. They have their own line of roasted beans that they roast fresh weekly. They also have a lot of their own branded merchandise. The space is enormous. There are so many spots to just spend time with friends to catch up, or to work. I love the natural wood look in the shop and on the weekend it was very lively inside.
