Daan Go Richmond – Signature Cakes
In addition to their stunning macarons, Daan Go has a pretty extensive line up for the signature cakes. They have cake slices as well as full sized cakes and mini decorative cakes. They have the cutest Cheesecake Fromage in the shape of a cheese wedge with a little mouse as well as my personal favourite the Lucky Duck. On our visit we went with:
- Cheesecake Fromage ($8.50)
- Lucky Duck ($8.50)
- Firma ($8.50)
- 24K Mango Cheesecake (Slice)
The Cheesecake Fromage is a white chocolate lime passion fruit cheesecake with a citrus ganache truffle mouse.
The Lucky Duck features layers of lemon curd, pistachio cream and almond sponge. It is topped with a hand painted white chocolate ducky. The cake is not too sweet and the lemon goes really with the nuttiness of the pistachio.
The Firma features malted milk chocolate (Ovaltine) mousse, chocolate almond sponge, salted caramel, dark chocolate mousse, and chocolate rocks. It is shaped like the cutest potted cactus!
The 24K Mango Cheesecake is the perfect summer treat. With a mango cheesecake base that features a housemade mango jam and passion fruit puree with a graham base this cheesecake is super refreshing!
Daan Go Richmond – Supremes
And of course they have to feature some of Vancouver’s hottest trendy dessert – Supremes. The rolled croissant scrolls are massive here. They also have a huge selection of flavours including sweet and savoury. Unfortunately they were mostly out by the time I got there so I got a basic double almond, but I will definitely be back to try their Furikake one and their Pineapple Crumble!
Worth a Try?
Yes! They will be undoubtedly be very busy for their opening weekend so if you aren’t a fan of queues I would avoid this weekend. However, I think it is worth trying and I would definitely try to snag a macaron or a cute mini cake to try!
