After a particularly rough day at work a couple workers and I decided to go to Gyoza Bar for their Happy Hour to unwind.
What I drank: Whisky + Ginger highball ($4.50)
Standard drink. I definitely had more than one.
What I ate: Hamachi Kama – sweet and sour soy yellowtail collar, bok choy ($5.00)
This was a very generous portion! There was at least 5 pieces and each bite was very flavourful from the sauce.
What I ate: Pork Teppan Gyoza ($6.00)
These gyozas were a bit disappointing. For a restaurant that’s supposed to specialize in gyozas, I found the filling to be lacking. The gyoza skins were very good though! Very thin, and panfried to a crisp. If only the filling was a bit better… this would be an amazing gyoza.
Gyoza Bar is very close to my office and I’ve been back multiple times. They have good deals at Happy Hour, and it’s never too busy during that time, so it’s a good place to chill and catch up with friends.
