The week between Christmas and New Years Day is always that time when most people reflect on the past year and think about their resolutions for the new year. I’m one of those people, and this past week I’ve done a lot of thinking and reminiscing of my 2019. I’ve eaten a lot and learned a lot in the process. After a lot of consideration I pulled out my top 10 dishes of 2019.
For me 2019 was one of the toughest years of my life. It’s easy to fall into the trap of self-pity and feel all the bad overshadowing the good, but I choose to focus on the good instead of the bad and that’s the mindset I’m going into 2020 with.
For all the bad this year, I have had equal amounts of happiness and joy. I’ve been given the opportunity to further explore my passions in food and photography and I’ve learned so many things and met so many wonderful people. I could go on and on and be incredibly sappy, but I’m going to recap my year the best way I know how – with food.
