Do you ever need a quick and easy meal that you can proabably make with ingredients you already have at home? If you answered ‘yes’, this quick and easy 5 minute chili udon recipe is perfect for you! Check out my video below for a step by step take on this recipe.

For this recipe I used Holy Duck Chili Oil but another great alternative is the Okazu Spicy Chili Miso It is hands down one of my favourite chili oils and its made locally in Vancouver in small batches. I use this chili oil in everything.

Quick and Easy Chili Udon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Holy Duck chili oil (or chili oil of your choice)
  • 1/2 lime (juiced)
  • 1 sprig green onion (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp cilantro (optional)
  • 1 package cooked udon

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine your rice wine vinegar, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, lime juice, chili oil and green onion.
  • Add your cooked udon noodles and mix well.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, more green onion and cilantro and finish with a drizzle of chili oil.
  • Enjoy immediately!
