I’m a huge fan of Korean food and I’m always down to try new Korean restaurants. I’ve driven past this restaurant hundreds of times but I’ve never been inside to try. I’m glad I finally did though!
Royal Seoul House is a Korean food institution in Vancouver. Establish in 1990, it has been around for almost 30 years! It is a large and spacious restaurant with a very traditional looking interior. They offer authentic Korean food in a comfortable setting with a variety of options for people familiar with Korean cuisine as well as for the uninitiated.
Of all the dishes that we ordered, I wanted to highlight this particular dish. I know that most Korean restaurants do this dish now, but this has to be one of my favourite renditions in Vancouver. They use large juicy pieces of chicken and the spicy marinade is a slow burn with a sweet start. It’s SO GOOD. The best part is when it gets caramelized from the hot plate!
Everything I tried here was really good! Because we ordered BBQ and the hot plate, they cooked the meat for us in the kitchen and brought it out.
I can’t wait to come back to try their lunch set menu that includes over 15 dishes for only $20!
